Our Story

Ye Olde Pizza Grill & Market is modeled after food markets in the UK and Europe, where customers make their purchases daily for quality and to address active away from home life styles. Our chef prepared pizzas, broiled & roasted chicken entrees, assorted salads and deli items are all made with the great care and freshest of products. Whether prepared and ready to bake in your own oven, ready to serve, or dine in with us, you will enjoy every item on the menu. Four decades of food & hospitality service is part of our model. Be it our French Coffee and Chicory served Au Lait, mixed half and half with hot milk or coffee served strong and black with our baked sweet rolls.

….about our Coffee
Coffee first came to North America in the mid 1700’s by the French as it was successfully cultivated in Martinique. The Acadians from Nova Scotia added the taste of Chicory. Chicory is the root of the Endive plant. It is roasted and ground and added to the coffee to soften the bitter edge of the dark roasted coffee. It adds almost a chocolate flavor to our Cafe Au Lait, a specialty at our deli counter at Ye Olde Market.

Baking / Barbecue Instructions

1. Ye Olde Pizza Baking Instructions

Preheat Oven to 425 degrees

Remove wrapper and instructions, leave the pizza on the baking tray it comes on, and place it on centre rack of oven.

Check Pizza after 10 minutes. If large bubbles appear, puncture with a fork.

Average baking time is 12 to 18 minutes. Pizza is done when the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Remove pizza from the oven, let it rest of 2-3 minutes, slice and serve.

2. Barbeque Instructions

Pizza can only be baked in a covered BBQ.

Charcoal Style BBQ

In a (23" kettle) style use 50 briquettes for a (rectangle 18"x23") use 70.

After lighting and when the briquettes are ash colored, place in a circular pattern on outer edge of the firegrate. DO NOT PUT THE COALS DIRECTLY UNDER THE PIZZA. When the BBQ reaches 425-450 degrees, unwrap and place the pizza in the center of the grill on the on the Baking Tray Provided. Cover BBQ and bake for 12-18 minutes. Remove and let it rest for 3-5 and slice, enjoy!

Gas BBQ 
Flare a circular 16" disposable aluminum tray. Place it in the center of the grill on the grate. Preheat the BBQ to 450 degrees. Place the pizza on top of the aluminum tray. Turn the pizza a quarter turn after 10 minutes. When the crust is golden brown across the bottom, about 12 minutes, carefully remove, let it rest for 3-5 minutes and there you are. Enjoy!

Our Thin Crust Pizza is hand made daily, covered with your choice of SIX Fresh Tomato Sauces then covered with the Finest Mozzarella and your section of topping. 

It's special, we start with fresh dough made daily in every store, add one of our gourmet sauces, and load the pizza with fresh grated cheese and a mountain of fresh ingredients you have selected.  We package the pizza to go so that you can cook it on your schedule and enjoy great tasting piping hot fresh pizza right from your oven. Choose from our 41 great toppings and 6 different pizza sauces.

A minimum of 60% of the total investment, approximately $40,000.00 in unencumbered cash or cash equivalent is required, as well as a clear credit history.

The approval process may take up to 60 days to complete. Our Disclosure Documents will be forwarded to qualified approved candidates. Pursuant to Disclosure Documents a $5,000. deposit is required which will be credited to your total franchise fee. You will then have 90 days to locate a site. If you are unsuccessful your deposit will be refunded less actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred in performing our obligations under the Disclosure Agreement.

YE OLDE PIZZA EXPRESS is recipe for success and combines an outstanding product with a unique market niche which focuses on smaller communities. By focusing on a trade area with a population of over 30,000, and combined household income of over $60,000. With exposure to at least 20,000 vehicles per day our stores truly become part of the community. We believe that the best franchisees come from a diverse background such as corporate middle management, retail and other restaurant establishments.
YE OLDE PIZZA EXPRESS allows these entrepreneurs the opportunity to be their own boss, the freedom to make their own decisions and the possibility to earn a substantial income.
YE OLDE PIZZA EXPRESS stores are licensed for ten years with a renewable term of ten years for each specific location.

Minimum Financial Requirements
As with any expanding franchise system, we have thousands of people interested in buying a franchise. To measure a candidate's qualifications, we have established both net worth and liquid asset requirements. These requirements are per unit to be opened. The required liquid assets are a minimum of $250,000 per store and a net worth per store of $800,000. The minimum Area Development requirement per new franchisee is two stores. Therefore the minimum unencumbered liquid assets required are $500,000 and net worth of $1,600,000. We also require that no more than 80% of the start-up costs be leveraged; 20 percent of any single store's start-up costs must be in liquid assets.

Operational Requirements
Each franchise restaurant location must at all times have a full-time, qualified, experienced General Manager, whom we must approve in advance. The GM must have direct experience in unit-level management in the casual dining environment. The GM's responsibility is that of a senior executive with multi-unit restaurant management experience. If you do not personally have this background and experience, you will be required to have what we call an "Operating Partner." Your Operating Partner will be responsible for operations of your franchised restaurant network. We sometimes have access to qualified individuals whom you may contact about being your Operating Partner. It is your responsibility to secure an Operating Partner if you do not have the substantive experience required.
